My M.A. project wrap-up this last weekend concluded successfully. My study on Anna Katharine Green is ready for publication and I am excited to embark on new research projects. Hopefully in the future I can return to this project and expand it into a book length article. As for now I will be reading recreationally
Last week I attended a special dinner at CSUF where I presented my research and experiences. This last month has been very rewarding, with the dinner, the Popular Culture conference, and the work I have done on my Master’s project about women and violence in late 19th century detective fiction. Southwest PCA/ACA Conference Wrap-Up “That’s the nice thing about collaborating with someone: Your work becomes a conversation.” ~ Noah Baumbach The Southwest PCA/ACA Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico resulted in just that–a collaboration of brilliant academic minds on popular culture criticism. There were some great Eco-Crit panels at this conference!
Working for the college of Humanities and Social Sciences has been a very rewarding experience. Over the course of the years here at CSUF, I have worked on three publications: the Humanities and Social Sciences Newsletter, the Anecdote (the English, Comparative Literature, and Linguistics alumni newsletter), and the SLI Newsletter.
